Grow.

Looking for work-life balance, supportive colleagues, a short work commute with generous compensation and low-cost of living? - then Mount Forest & Area is your place to practice medicine. We are rural but not remote. We believe in caring and supporting one another. We love to practice rural medicine and the variety it offers us every, working, day.

We have a robust medical education training program and welcome students, clerks and residents. Our primary care offices are located across the street from our newly expanded hospital - making it easy to hop back and forth when needed. We all belong to a FHO and are supported by FHT allied health staff. We would love to host you for a visit or even have a chat if you are interested in learning more.

Our Physicians.

Our Mount Forest & Area FHO consists of seven rural family physicians. We are able to choose a wide variety of clinical experiences that are not available to our urban counterparts.

All of our physicians have their own community primary practice as well as participate in hospital work - everything from inpatient, emergency and obstetrical care.

Add to that teaching medicals students, supporting long-term care homes, oncology, providing surgical assistance - there are endless possibilities for you to shape your own career. Meet a few of our Docs and choices they have made to build their career.

Louise Marshall Hospital Expansion.

Let us tell you about our newly expanded and renovated hospital.

Our new Emergency Department (ED) grew from 1,630 sq.ft. to 5,710 sq.ft. With new equipment, furniture, bright space, enclosed ambulance bay, improved IPAC standards - the new ED has enhanced they way we deliver care to our communities.

Add to that a new Ambulatory Care wing with 7,000 net new sq.ft in space. The Ambulatory Care Department houses bright and modern specialist exam/consult rooms. This area also includes a new Oncology, Pharmacy, and Diabetes Education space. Our Day Surgery wing also benefitted from these renovations with a new pre-surgery area.
